Yale's attack was confined principally to single plays from regular and wing shift formations, the forward pass being used but once. Holy Cross executed one excellent pass from Whalen to Metivier, who gained about 35 yards on the play. This placed the ball in Holy Cross's posession on Yale's 25-yard line, which was the nearest the Worcester team came to a score...
...Phryne gained a slight lead. At about 2.30 o'clock both took a long board out into the sound again. The two eights paddled as far as the three-mile mark together and for a time the Freshmen held their own with the University crew, both rowing the same stroke. On the last mile to the railroad bridge the University eight went on alone, raising the stroke gradually to 32. This last stretch was some of the best rowing the crew has done this season...
...play St. George's School this afternoon. The Freshmen will line up in practically the same order as in the Milton game, except that Osborn will catch in place of Reynolds, who is entered in the Freshman track meet with. Yale, Perkins will replace Williams in the field. The shift which was made in the team on Wednesday seems to have worked very well and will be continued...
