...unauthorized use of the names of Messrs. Wendell and Simmons by the managers of the Park Garden, in announcing certain athletic games to take place there, was an outrage for which it is hard to find proper terms. The announcement was so absurd upon the face of it that no one who knew either of the gentlemen believed it; but the action of the managers of the Park Garden is none the less a mean and contemptible one.
