...sixth Cornell got two men on bases but Bates pitched finely and struck out two men, leaving the two on bases. In the seventh Calthorpe got first on an error by Hovey, and in trying to make second, was put out by a most fortunate play. Mason threw way over Frothingham's head, but Frothingham jumped and got it in one hand, touching the man as he dropped. After this the men went out in one, two, three order for the rest of the game...

Harvard came to the bat and got two runs in the first, on an error, a three-bagger by Upton, and error by short. Five more runs were made in the third, two of them earned, and the rest on well bunched hits, and a couple of costly errors by Lovell's. The final run was made in the eighth by Hovey on a single to left +++ a steal, and Sullivan's fumble of Dickinson's hit to left field. This ended the scoring for Harvard...

There was one thing about the game, which was disgraceful. This was the cheering by certain portions of the crowd whenever either side made an error, and the hissing of all questionable decisions of the umpire. This was done to be sure, mostly by outsiders, but Harvard men must make a determined effort to stop it. It is just this sort of thing which brings in the taint of professionalism to our amateur games...

...second inning Dartmouth got a run on an error by Frothingham, two passed balls and a hit by Burdett. Dartmouth scored again in the fourth on an error of Corbett's, a passed ball, and a hit. Again in the fifth she scored on an error of Cook's, two wild pitches and a passed ball. This ended Dartmouth's scoring for the game...
