Harvard played a good game throughout, both in the field and at the bat. Only one error was made and that was excusable. Highlands was very effective, striking out ten men and not giving Williams a hit. The Williams pitchers, Hollister and Roberts were both batted hard and were poorly supported, Harvard's base running was very good. Following is the score...

The score then remained a tie until the seventh when Case reached first on a error, stole second and third, and came home on an error by Brown. In the eighth inning also Yale made one run, and this ended the scoring, although in the last half of the ninth, Princeton made a desperate effort to save the game...
