The second race admitted only tandem brich canoes; Crowninshield and Fessenden, Harding and VanSchaick, were the contestants. The latter pair won through the misfortune of the former, who upset directly in front of the boat house. The third race was an open canoe contest, single blades. Herrick, '90, and Cheney, '92, entered and made a very even race, but Herrick finally getting the inside course gained about half a length which he held to the end. Time 9 minutes...
