The cause of Pollack’s death is still unknown, said longtime colleague David S. Rosenthal ’59, director of UHS.

Marc N. Pollack, chief financial officer of University Health Services (UHS) and a teacher at Harvard’s Extension School, died unexpectedly on Feb. 19 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 51.
Students began arriving at University Health Services (UHS) Tuesday evening suffering from diarrhea, vomiting and stomach cramps, said UHS Director David S. Rosenthal ’59.
He attributed students’ growing comfort with UHS to a better understanding of confidentiality policies for those seeking help for alcohol and drug use.
