...University association football team was defeated in its final game of the fall season by the Thornton Corinthians, at Thornton, R. I., on Saturday afternoon. The score, 3 to 2, indicates the evenness of the teams. At the start, the Corinthians took the University team by surprise, and scored all their goals within a few minutes. In the second half, however, the University forwards displayed by far the best team-work they have shown this fall, and kept the ball in their opponents' territory. Almost at the very start of the last period a low kick by Dean was caught on West Point's 40-yard line. Dalton made 11 yards through the line and, after two plays, kicked the only goal of the game from the 30-yard line...
