Although there is no running dialogue, "A Touch of the Times" does feature an original accompanying musical score. Composed by Nicholas Van Slyck, a former student, and played by a seven-man group recruited from the Boston Symphony, the music has been credited with "making" the movie. Recording sessions were completed just this past Monday night, and sound processing will be done later this week in Washington...
...clubs presented a concert of choral music by the Bach Cantata Club assisted by the Harvard Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Nicholas Van Slyck '46. Most recently, the clubs gave a concert of modern chamber and choral music. The chorus, directed by Assistant Professor Irving Fine, one of the faculty advisers of the clubs, sang two of his compositions and one by Gordon Binkerd, a teaching fellow in the Music Department.
