...next Saturday the Harvard and Pennsylvania track teams will contest in dual games on Franklin Field at Philadelphia. As Pennsylvania defeated Harvard at the Mott Haven games last year, the contest should be very exciting and it will probably be fairly close, although Harvard's chances of winning seem rather better than Pennsylvania's. Both teams are stronger than usual and good records are expected in all the events. A conservative estimate gives Harvard 62 points to Pennsylvanis's 50. Harvard should win the hundred with Roche, Bigelow and Redpath, all of whom are good...
...play is well worth going to see, being a decided improvement over last year's performance. The plot is good, but it is worked out in the conventional comic opera style. The dialogue contains few novelties and becomes rather monotonous toward the end. Moreover the play does not seem to be evenly balanced, all of the action excepting the denouement itself coming in the first act. For this reason the second act fails to retain the interest of the spectator, and seems almost an anti-climax...

The selections of the Banjo and Mandolin Clubs were unusually good, but both clubs would do well to follow the example of the Glee Club and cut down their members. They seem to be a trifle too large to be absolutely sure of themselves at times...
...result of the race is in considerable doubt, and the crews seem to be unusually evenly matched. The Seniors have a veteran crew and as they have already won twice it seems probable that they will repeat their victory this year. Between the Juniors and Sophomores there is little to choose. Both have been doing some fast rowing lately, and either one may give the Seniors a surprise. The Sophomores have rather the more powerful men and with a head wind should do particularly well, while the Juniors hope for a fair wind. Each crew has plenty of supporters...
