...opening exercises of Clark university took place Wednesday in the presence of fifteen hundred people in the main university building. Last evening the first of the Sunday evening services for this year was held in Appleton Chapel, The service was opened, with prayer by Dean Lawrence of the Divinity school, followed by a portion of the scriptures and prayer by Dr. Peabody.
