Last week's deadline prevented getting in the news about the jam session at the Hotel Bradford this past Sunday. (It was half good and half bad.) Assets: Coleman Hawkin's superb tenoring, the tremendous drive of Pete Brown's alto, and J. C. Higginbotham's tromboning.
