Finally the football management, after a series of experiments, have been able to construct a nose mask which is as unyielding as is necessary, and which will more than take the place of the old mask. The new rule provides that no metal substance shall be used in the construction of any guard for the face, but this mask contains no metal whatsoever. It is therefore impossible for anyone to object to its use. The rough game which may be expected in the more important contests makes a mask indispensable, and this last and most successful experiment is highly satisfactory...
