...February issue of the Lampoon seems in places to be below the high standard set by several issues, but on the whole is rather amusing. The center piece and many of the smaller drawings are decidedly poor; some however, are very amusing, notably the picture on the cover. The jokes seem to be about up to the usual standard and the longer efforts are praiseworthy. The verses are uniformly good and the longer skits, especially those on the faculty meeting and the CRIMSON criticisms are good examples of undergraduate...

...things are conspicuous in the current Lampoon. One is the centre-piece, for which not much else is to be said. The second is a two page legend entitled "Sherlock on the High Seas," in the main well written and embellished with well executed designs. The other contributions are for the most part likely to leave the prominence of Sherlock uncontested. Exception may be made for two drawings and nearly as many small jokes. There is something in the editorial column. Paragraphs of this latter sort only serve to set the reader to thinking of what a humorous editorial might...

...good take-off on the Advocate and a few clever jokes and poems make the current number of the Lampoon fairly readable. Of the illustrations the Chart for Navigating the Yard in wet weather is one of the cleverest drawings that has appeared in the paper this year. The ideas of some of the other illustrations are also clever, but in most cases the execution is very rough and unfinished. A well-executed and artistic drawing has not appeared in the last few numbers of the Lampoon...
