...recent meeting of the corporation a gift of $150,000 for the establishment of a school of forestry was accepted from Mr. and Mrs. James W. Pinchot and their sons Gifford Pinchot '89 and Amos Pinchot '97. To provide for a practical summer school the Pinchot family has given to the university the use of a large tract of forest land near Milford, Pike County, Pa., where a library will be established for the use of the school. Instruction will probably begin at Milford by August 1 and at New Haven with the opening of the academic year next fall...
