...York University has received a gift of $100,000 to be used in building a Hall of Fame for great Americans. The building is to be a colonade five hundred feet long, located on University Heights and facing the palisades. ...Child Memorial Library has reported to the Department of English that the total number of volumes now in the Library is 3467, an increase since last October of 453. Of this increase, 101 came by transfer or deposit from the Harvard College Library, and 222 came by gift from various contributors. The largest number of books came from Professor Barrett Wendell, from Mr. Albert Matthews of Boston, and from Messrs. Houghton, Mifflin & Company.
