...Philharmonic Society.* Chairman Clarence H. Mackay made announcements. He said that Arturo Toscanini had agreed to conduct the Philharmonic Orchestra in a series of concerts next year. He added that Willem Mengelberg, tiny Dutch giant of the baton, had been reengaged for three years; that Wilhelm Furtwäengler, German conductor, will shortly appear in a guest engagement.
