Simple are the merging of educational and missionary equipment. Not so simple is the merging of church organizations. The Pittsburgh conferees urged time and latitude for this process. The Presbyterian subsidiaries of the new Church might retain their "sessions," the Reformed subsidiaries their "consistories." Consistories and sessions differ more in name than in function. Presbyteries or "classes" (larger groupings which include sessions and consistories, respectively) in a particular region need merge organization, equipment and endowment only if they wish...

Certain over-zealous patriots are the unfortunate dupes of the situation. They fail to realize that the truth of the occurrences on every evening of the convention has been hidden by politician and press alike. The fact remains that the newspaper reports written at the time of the convention differ widely from the soft-pedaled versions which denied the same facts afterwards. And no newspaper had either the courage or freedom enough to speak the truth editorially...

...University course today will differ from that of last year and from that of last week. It will start at the Larz Anderson bridge on the Cambridge side, continue past the corner of the Mt. Auburn cemetery along the river, and then make two complete loops around the hill near the cemetery. The return course will be back along the same side of the river. The old route has been rendered impracticable because of dredging being done on the sand bank which once formed a part of the course. The distance is about five miles, and is somewhat more hilly...
