The treasurer not only has no money, but is unable to pay debts incurred in the Freshman and Sophomore years amounting to several hundred dollars. ...Varsity Crew is doing some good work on the weights in the Gymnasium, and under its able captain is getting into fair shape, considering the number of new men which compose it. It seems a pity, however, that there is no regular coach to direct it, as the next four or five weeks before the river is open are especially important, and an efficient trainer could do much towards improving them. We sincerely hope that a coach will be found at once to take charge of this gymnasium work, feeling assured that it would be the very best thing...
