...away online when signing up for services like free e-mail. The result is an ability to target voters from specific states as they roam the Internet, enabling candidates to tailor their message more effectively. When McCain needed assistance in getting on the ballot in Virginia, the firm helped craft a banner ad on various websites that invited users to print out a copy of the petition they had to sign. Crude for now, the technology nevertheless offers more precision than TV ads, and in the future may be able to help candidates pitch their Social Security message to seniors...
...there is good reason. The idea that millions of credit-card numbers are being beamed to thousands of websites every day must be an irresistible lure to any hacker with a larcenous bent. Last week e-tailers were sweating over reports of an international cybertheft that for pure nerve, craft and brass rivals any ever tried before. If the FBI doesn't crack the case soon, skittish consumers, who had just started growing comfortable with the idea of Web shopping, could grow uncomfortable in a hurry...
Granted, women will always choose their own paths to success, and Love is not the only star to undergo multiple transformations, (Love has obviously taken her cues from Madonna, the pioneer of tactical image changes). It's not uncommon in Miami for telephones...
...hard-core rapper, but essentially he makes music designed to entertain suburban children. His rage-filled persona is too over-the-top to take seriously (he starts this album growling and barking) and his lyrics, ("Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Nigga!") lack wit. On Party Up, he tries to craft a clubland anthem and fails. It's not much fun partying with a guy who's probably just gonna start a fight and ruin everything. Still, one song, What's My Name?, does have a welcome sense of urgency...
