...Haviland '01 as "Crispin" and "Pontbichet" deserves a good deal of praise for his clever acting in both farces. A. Champollion '02 did some good work in "Un Jeune Homme Presse" and was fairly efficient in the first play. Although W. D. Haviland '02 has a difficult part in "Dardard," the excitable young lover, he fills the role well with very little overacting. The minor parts in "Crispin" were mostly well taken. L. D. The best drawing of the number is the centrepiece--"Puzzle: Find the man who vows he will never take another girl to a game"--a clever illustration of a situation decidedly within the range of possibility. A black and white poster effect by R. Edwards '01 and an illustration in wash on the first page are also well done...

...undergone a great change for the better since the Indian game. This strength was shown in stopping the guards-back formation of the second eleven, which was used very often during the game. The best individual work was the brilliant running of Sawin and Gierasch. Both did some clever and effective dodging and followed their interference carefully. Ellis did no plunging, but did some good punting for the first eleven. The work of the team taken altogether was satisfactory to the coaches...
