...difference between drama and classic tragedy is that in a drama people seem to have a kind of active role in what is occurring on the screen. ...only complaint? The "ball in flight" shots used during the golf scenes-in which the audience gets to see the perspective of the ball as it rockets down the fairway-are kind of cheesy. But that's a minor point. Who better to fill the classic "golden boy falls from grace" paradigm than Hollywood golden boy Matt Damon? ...Bruce Hornsby's new live album Here Come the Noise Makers combines his classic hits such as "The Way It Is" and "Mandolin Rain" with an entirely new sound. I'd venture a guess: When balding and/or graying politicians continually make what appears to be an active decision to cut young people out of the political process, the impetus to get involved is sharply diminished. Of course, in defense of politicians - gasp! - there's a classic chicken-and-egg conundrum here: Do young voters ignore politicians because politicians ignore them, or do politicians keep their distance from young voters because they've proven themselves an uninterested voting bloc whose concerns are not easily addressed in a 10-second sound bite...
