Although the Cornell team has played fast ball at times, and is capable of displaying great ability, it has not had a very satisfactory season, and does not appear to compare favorably with last year's team. An unsuccessful Southern trip was followed by a slight brace, when three games were won in succession, but since then Cornell has been defeated by Penn State, 4 to 2; by Princeton, 5 to 4; and by Pennsylvania, 11 to 5. In the latter game the team went to pieces, making ten errors, but in the Princeton game a two-run lead...
Since last Saturday when Harvard lost, 3 to 0, with Heyniger apparently not exerting himself, the team has taken a decided brace. Although defeated by Dartmouth, it demonstrated that it could hit the ball hard, both in that game and in the Andover game Wednesday, when thirteen hits were secured. The team also showed far more life and spirit than had been seen since the Annapolis game. Having new men in the infield seems to have livened matters up considerably...

Yesterday a poor game was played with Tufts, in which the latter team won, 12 to 8. Tufts secured eight runs in the first two innings, after which Maine changed pitchers...
...first period, the score stood 16 to 9 in favor of Andover, and the lead was maintained up to the last five minutes of play, when the score stood 21 to 15. Then Miller, ably assisted by Dow, took a splendid brace and succeeded in winning the game for the Freshman, Miller and Dow excelled for the Freshmen and Swihart for Andover...
