The title of the article is "Aurora Leigh as the Metrical and Feminine Complement to Thackeray's Pendennis." We are obliged to acknowledge that the writer of the piece has a more vivid imagination than we can pretend to. The comparison is ingenious, but the case is not made out. Both stories follow out the development of a principal character, as many other novels and poems do. Beyond this we fail to see any great similarity...
