Thumbs Up (Eddie Dowling, producer) is almost official enough to be mentioned as TUA. Administrator of the proceedings is Eddie Dowling (Joseph Nelson Edward Goucher), President Roosevelt's favorite actor and head of the entertainment division of the 1932 Democratic Campaign Committee. Early last summer Eddie Dowling announced himself as a candidate for the Democratic Senatorial nomination from Rhode Island.
