...Cowan advanced the ball by short rushes through Harvard's line. Ames ran fifteen yards around the end and the game was brought to Harvard's twenty-five yard line. Ames caught Trafford's punt and the ball was returned across Harvard's line and Saxe was forced to touch it down for a safety. Score 15-12 for Harvard. This was the turning point in the game.
