With Captain Rowland Gaeta and John Thompson the only members of the Yardling squad who have had any previous experience, the '45 foilmen haven't done so well this season. Only Don Edwards in the foil and John Duke in the epee have shown marked improvement.

Yale's Freshman team is undefeated, having won 11 meets, including a lopsided victory over Andover which later turned around and decisively defeated the Yardlings 53 to 13. The record of the Yardling team is five meets won and four lost.

About 40 men have entered the tournament. In the heavyweight class, Tom Gardiner, Ted Lyman, and Jim Grunlg, from the football team, Bill McCaffery; Freshman cross-country captain, Bill Ward, Yardling football player, and Ken Pearistein, are scheduled to fight.

To head the board the retiring officers will select a Junior chairman. A freshman editor will also be chosen to supervise the Yardling section of the book and circulation among that class.
