Princeton not being able to gain, Baird punted to C. Brewer, on Harvard's 30 yard line. Harvard's first play was a fake kick, by which Wrightington gained six yards. Then on a round-the-end play C. Brewer gained round Cochran no less than 25 yards. Up to this time it was the prettiest rush of the day, made by means of straight football. Brewer had practically a clear field, but the ground was so slippery that in making one of his famous quick dodges, he lost his foothold and stumbled. This gave some Princeton men their chance...

Another fake kick, with Fairchild in possession of the ball, netted 20 yards. After an end rush of three yards by Brewer, Fairchild made another poor attempt at a goal from the field, Princeton receiving the ball 10 yards from her goal line...
