...care if somebody supposedly "sells out" and joins a consulting firm. I might end up doing it myself someday. Sometimes I wonder if, 10 years from now, I'll look back at my college days and laugh at how idealistic I was. I think if that does happen, I'd rather be sipping martinis in my townhouse than gulping malt liquor on the corner. Here's what's really wrong with me though: I'm an idealist without any ideals. ...widely perceived as the WTO's greatest beneficiary. It has filed more complaints with the WTO to open foreign markets than any other nation, making other countries distrust the ultimate motive behind policies we put forward. ...wonder if Monopoly was one of those favorite games that Gates and his family liked to play when he was growing up. Despite the fact that little Billy's friends are upset because he owns all of the good properties and has hotels on Boardwalk and Park Place, one still has to give him credit. Gates has made it his business to remember those in this world who are born into absolute poverty. For instance, he recently donated $250 million to the Global Alliance for Vaccine and Immunization--and that's not play money. BARBARA J. HALEY Victoria...
