Mr. Gordon spoke mainly of the tendency which exists in most people, when surrounded by difficulties, to wish the difficulties removed rather than to try to gain strength to overcome the difficulties. Following the sermon, were short addresses by Rev. Theodore C. Williams, and Rev. Phillips Brooks, relating chiefly to the coming year, and what the religious attitude of the students should be.
