Captain Finley, of the University Crew, has determined that the candidates for next year's crew shall have the benefit of a rowing tank in which to practice during the coming winter, and he is making every effort to accomplish his purpose. It was at first hoped that arrangements could be made to have the tank placed in the Hemenway gymnasium, but permission to do this has been absolutely refused by the authorities. ...Boston Symphony Orchestra gave the first of the winter series of concerts at Sanders Theatre last night before an audience completely filling the house. It is unfortunate that Harvard men do not take advantage of this opportunity to hear an orchestra which rivals any in the country, when it gives concerts in our own midst.
