...mile run there were eight contestants, among them Morison, '83, and Walker, '84, from Harvard and Carr, '83, from Yale. Morison immediately took the lead followed closely by the other contestants, but the pace Morison set was too much for the others and by the second lap he had a long lead with the other contestants strung along for a distance of a hundred yards.
