...deeply moved by Yuri Zarakhovich's "A Russian's Lament" [VIEWPOINT, Sept. 21], describing his country's inability to cope with freedom. The concept of freedom is so deeply ingrained in U.S. culture that it never occurs to us that other nations do not even know exactly what to embrace. It becomes all the more imperative for the West to teach these concepts to others, rather than aim for an economic coup in evolving nations.
