Yesterday's game with Brown was not so satisfactory as it might have been, in spite of the score. In the first place, the 'varsity batted poorly with the exception of Upton, who made a timely home ran in the eighth inning, and Hovey who made two hits, one for three bases. Outside of that, there were just two hits. Eight men struck out, which is about the poorest record this year. Nearly every ball that was hit went into the air. Brown, on the other hand, made eight hits, all singles, though Wiggin kept them well scattered...
