We were much astonished that any such action should be taken by the students and that it should receive the sanction of any portion of the faculty, especially when it is known that a few administrations since the converting of the school into a feeder for one college and the giving to it a sectarian character, alienated the support of the Phillips family, which support has never since been recovered...
