...last moment we hear with pleasure that the Athletic Association will hold a meeting on Friday afternoon, May 24, at Beacon Park. Sufficient time is given to enable men to train well and get into good condition; and since the prizes are to be of value, we hope to see the events performed creditably. ATHLETICS.THE Athletic meetings at the English universities are still going on, and the performances so far have been above the average in merit. The fields of start in these college events have been very large, and all the sprint races have been run in heats.
