Amherst won the toss and took the west goal with a strong wind in her favor. Harvard's heavy rush line was too much for the lighter Amherst team and in a short time Nichols made a touchdown from which Saxe kicked a goal. Last Saturday occurred the Freshmen's first game this season. They played with the Rovers of Brookline who placed a strong nine in the field. The latter won the toss and went to the bat. They were speedily put out however, after gaining three runs. In '90's first innings, two hits and two errors with a base on balls resulted in five runs, none earned.
