...film. His movies, aside from the ones that suck, are always good. And it was about Israel, a personal favorite subject, and killing terrorists, another sweet topic. The story, as you probably know, revolves around the brutal massacre of 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympic Games in the titular city. The rest is an intriguing study of the psychological toll of counter-terrorism, its cycles of violence and ethical implications. In other words, the Olympics as the backdrop for a discussion of the seediness of global politics and a depiction of man at his murderous worst. Pretty grim stuff...

...into it. The drama knows how to build and maintain suspense, and nowhere is that better embodied than in star Wentworth Miller--an inmate with his escape plan tattooed in code on his torso--who after 13 episodes seemed tense enough to crack walnuts behind his ears. With the titular breakout under way on the show (it returns in March to resolve its cliffhanger ending), it's unclear where it can go in a second season. ...imaginary dystopian future. Political dissent has been criminalized and suspected dissidents are arrested and prosecuted without consideration for due process. Once convicted (and they are invariably convicted), the dissidents are offered the choice of serving lengthy prison sentences or spending four days in the film’s titular wasteland. The “Park” is a fifty-mile-long desert obstacle course that the convicted must navigate by foot, without the benefit of food or water, while avoiding capture by police officers and National Guardsmen. Dissidents who are captured before completing the course are remitted to police...
