...hardly like to think that anything but mere thoughtlessness has caused the general failure to support the subscription for the '97 'Varsity nine cups. The sum raised last week was to say the least inadequate, and if after this morning's letter from the class presidents more subscriptions are not forthcoming, private canvassing will have to be resorted to. We hope that such a step will be unnecessary however, for the main point of giving these cups is to have them come freely from the fellows in token of their recognition...
