...regret very much that some of our old prize winners still in the University could not be induced to enter, as their absence seriously endangers our chances of again winning the championship. Still we have a very good field of contestants and hope for the best, although we think that the old men should have made every effort to lend their help towards victory. If Harvard is not first they will be to blame...

...class games should be given up. It is true that the lacrosse team is a university organization and because beaten by Princeton last year must do their best to win this year. Moreover, as matters now stand, for this year at least lacrosse practice is necessary. But we also think that the class ball games are necessary as well as popular. They are a regular part of our athletics, and are necessary as giving valuable practice to the Freshman nine. If the freshman team does not have the benefit of the class games, it will make a very poor showing...
