Nearly all of the matches yesterday were close, even with the handicaps. In the match between Orcutt and Hurd and Lockett and Hunt, the handicap was too large, but nevertheless the scores were quite large. In the singles Tallant and Barron both won a set and stopped on account of the rain. The match between Earle and Rhoades was very close.
