...Harvard eleven have had to work, our men made a good showing and deserve a great deal of credit. The cause of our defeat is very plain. The training required to make a winning team is long and arduous, and men will not go through it unless they are sure that their efforts will bring recognition. The men have worked hard and faithfully but without that entnusiasm which is necessary for victory.
