This competition is open only to Juniors, and offers 1921 the last opportunity to make the CRIMSON. This spring more emphasis will be placed on the quality than on the quantity of editorials written. Candidates at first will be required to submit two editorials a week, with a possible increase in this number later on as the competition narrows down. The subject matter of contributions is not to be limited to College topics, but will include world topics of the day. Four positions are now open in the editorial department. This competition is open to members of 1921 and 1922. It will consist of taking pictures of College activities. Candidates are here given an opportunity to get in touch with all the undergraduate interests, especially the spring sports. The CRIMSON'S photographic dark-room, with complete developing and printing equipment, will be used. Plates and films are supplied. The competition is decided on the number of photographs published in the bi-weekly pictorial supplement and general usefulness to the paper. Today the annual spring competitions for the board begins. To those who do not see their way to starting a paper in opposition to the present College, daily, the opportunity to make the CRIMSON more what they believe it ought to be is thrown open. From the successful candidates in these spring competitions will be chosen the future officers of the paper. It is not only for the advantage of the CRIMSON; but for the University as a whole, that they should be selected from the largest possible number of contestants representing every branch of University thought and activity...

...successful candidates will be taken on the trips this spring, among which are included a concert at Rogers Hall School in Lowell at the Mid-Year dance there on February 28. On March 6 the Instrumental Clubs will give a concert in conjunction with the University Glee Club at the Harvard Club of Providence. These two are the only concert dates definitely decided on, but several more are being arranged, among them a concert at the Colonial Club here...
