Arthur Atwood Ballantine '04 prepared for college at the Springfield High School, where he took an active part in debating and literary work. In his Freshman year he was a member of the team which defeated Exeter and also of the Freshman team which defeated the 1903 team and debated against the 1901 team. ...recent Springfield excursion and Fossil Bacteria-Renault were the subjects before the geological conference last evening. The Springfield excursion to Mount Tom and vicinity, in which seventy students from nine New England colleges participated, was described by Mr. Bowman.
