Last year, a year so fertile in mishaps for us, lacrosse was the only sport in which Harvard maintained her superiority over her rivals. Indeed the lacrosse championship has remained here for three years, and bids fair to remain here still another year, if the college gives this branch of athletics the support which its perseverance deserves...
...more than anxious for the success and prosperity of the club because it helped to develop new men for track athletics. There must be some head to start the interest in Hare and Hounds this year as there was last, otherwise fellows who are interested in that sport will be at a loss to know what to do, where to meet, etc. I should think it would be a good idea if the captain of the Mott Haven team would take the matter in hand as did his predecessor last year, issue a notice of when and where the first...
EDITORS DAILY CRIMSON:- There are few sports more worty of encouragement or which receive less support from the members of the University than cricket. Few men probably realize what the cricket eleven has done, or what it might do, if it received its share of support from the students. Beginning yearly with a few good cricketers the eleven is filled up with raw men who practice faithfully by themselves unnoticed and disregarded...

Such a thing is more than possible...
...worth paying a little attention to. The Harvard cricket eleven made a record for itself last spring which deserves substantial recognition, inasmuch as it won every game of the spring series. It has unfortunately become the custom here at Harvard for men rather to look down upon this excellent sport and to say with a would-be-knowing air, "Pshaw, the cricket eleven never does anything!" Even were this assertion true-which it is not-whose fault is it? We would like to put the question, "What has ever been done among the students at large to encourage or help...
