...certainly too bad that hockey cannot be played in front of an open fire, but the nature of the sport seems to preclude the idea. Doubtless the football team would prefer to practice in morrischairs; the swimming team would like to hold their races in bathtubs. Doubtless, but --. Harvard men do not always spend their time avoiding disagreeable work. Our much-envied string of victories over Yale and Princeton proves that there are some men in College who are not afraid of cold weather or hard, unpleasant, grinding practice...

Passadena offers a royal welcome to her visitors. The evenings before the great game are filled with merriment and sport for the eastern guests. On the evening after the game a ball is held in the Maryland Hotel. Yale has also had the advantage in swimming, winning both the dual meets in this branch of sport, and twice winning the open Intercollegiate Meet. At water polo, the University has only once opposed Yale but in that game she was successful. Yale has also come out ahead in the few dual wrestling meets that have been held, while in the Inter-collegiates in which both universities have competed Yale has every time amassed the greater score...
