There was some delay in getting out the six-oar crews, because three of the Holyoke four and all the Matthews pulled again in the sixes. It is unfortunately becoming quite the custom in these two clubs for the four best men to row in both races, but it is manifestly unfair, both to the candidates for the second crews, who are thus shut out, and to the other clubs, which do not think it consistent with their honor to do that sort of thing.
