Tonight's presentation of Neil Simon's God's Favorite should be a humorous look at life in wealthy suburbia. The comedy is a reworking of the story of Job and follows the adventures of Joe Benjamin, a wealthy Jewish resident of Long Island. God's Favorite did not receive rave reviews at the time of its publication, as critics complained that its stereotyping of suburban life was trite and unoriginal.
