Howland hurt a finger in the preliminary practice and Evans was substituted. Three bases on balls in succession, a wild pitch and a passed ball, gave Harvard two runs at the start. Marlborough scored four in the same inning by a base on balls, three singles and Soule's muff of a popfly. After this no Harvard man got beyond first until the fifth inning, when the visitors became badly rattled and gave four runs on errors...
