After the preliminary session which consisted of defensive work against the second team, the first team lined up against the Freshman eleven for a 25-minute scrimmage. The latter was given the ball on the University team's 25-yard line. When the University team had rushed the ball down to the 1-yard line and were about to score, the whole Freshman squad was put in against it, and the ball was lost on downs. Contrary to the custom of the past few years, neither Memorial Hall nor Randall Hall will be in operation during the six weeks' session of the Summer School. It is unfortunate that no arrangement can be made whereby one of the halls can be used to accommodate the summer students but the losses incurred in past years have been so great that it seems out of the question...
