Powell and Mitchell are both remarkable individuals and would be superb additions to their respective tickets--if they can be persuaded to join the race. To be sure, they are not the only favorable candidates. Nebraska Sen. Chuck Hagel is a Vietnam veteran and campaign finance reformer straight from the McCain mold.
